Mr. Farhad Ahmed was an Executive Director of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) prior to joining Central Counter Party Bangladesh Limited (CCBL). He joined CCBL on January 3, 2021 as its first Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer after his retirement from BSEC.

At BSEC, Mr. Ahmed worked as a Departmental Head in Surveillance, Research & Development, Management Information Systems, Supervision & Regulations of Markets and Issuer Companies, Capital Issue, Enforcement, Central Depository System, Law, Administration & Finance, International Affairs and Supervision & Regulation of Intermediaries departments.

From BSEC side he was associated with the Central Depository project from its inception up to commercial operation. During his tenure as departmental head of capital Issues department, Grameen Phone took listing in both Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) after its initial public offer. He was also involved in Demutualization of stock exchanges, approval process of strategic investment of DSE and signing of IOSCO Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MMoU) as head of different committees created by BSEC for these purposes.

During 2015- 2017 he worked as an Enforcement and Cooperation Advisor of International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) in Madrid, Spain.

He was a part-time faculty member of American International University of Bangladesh (AIUB) in its MBA Program during 2007 – 2014.

After obtaining   graduation and post-graduation from Department of Finance, University of Dhaka, he started his carrier with a private sector insurance company.

Mr. Mohammed Humayun Kabir FCA, obtained B. Com (Hons) with first class and M.Com in Accounting from the University of Dhaka. He studied Chartered Accountancy and passed both group I & II of final exams of ICAB in one go. He became ACA in 1984 and FCA in 1989. He also studied on International Capital Market at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford, UK. Mr. Kabir has been recognized seven times as a CIP (Export) in 2007, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017 and awarded Jatiyo Paribesh Padak in 2010 by the Government of Bangladesh.

Mr. Kabir has working experience for 41 years. He worked for a CA firm from February 1981 to Jan 1985, a financial institution from February 1985 to June 1988 and since then, has been working for Industry.

He is involved with National Board of Revenue (NBR) as a Facilitator of Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) since March 2012. He is also associated with Bangladesh-German Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BGCCI) as a Director (elected 2021-2023) and the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FBCCI) and Bangladesh Ceramics Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BCMEA) as a member of panel of advisers.

Previously, he was involved with FBCCI as a Chairman/Member of its different standing and non-standing Committees, a member of Management Committee (2014-2016) of Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF), an elected Director of Shippers Council of Bangladesh (2009-11), a Director of Bangladesh Jute Spinners Association (2015-17) and a Vice-Chairman of Bangladesh Jute Goods Association (2007-09). He also sat in the Board of Directors of Monno Ceramics Limited (1986-1987), West Zone Power Distribution Company Ltd (2005-06), Bangladesh Telecommunication Company Ltd (2008), Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd (2008), Shadharan Bima Corporation (2008-2013) and Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd (2016-19).

Since 2001, he has been an elected Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) for eight consecutive times (2001-2024). He was Vice President in 2002 & President in 2008 of ICAB and Member of Accounting & Auditing standards committee of South Asian Federation of Accountants - SAFA (2009 -2018). He represented ICAB to International Federation of Accountants - IFAC general assembly meetings held in 2010 at NewYork USA, in 2014 at Rome Italy, and in 2018 at Sydney Australia.

Currently, he is the Chairman of Taxation & Corporate Law Committee – TCLC, Second Tire Accountants Recognitio and Management Committee and Review committee for Published Accounts & Reports - RCPAR of ICAB. He represents ICAB to South Asian Federation of Accountants – SAFA Board as a technical advisor and as a member to SAFA committee for Improvement in Transparency, Accountability & Governance -ITAG.

Mr. Kabir is well known for his expertise in fiscal laws, financial management, business strategies, corporate governance and macroeconomic issues. His analyses and suggestions are being accepted by the policy framers, decision makers and entrepreneurs with high esteem and value. Mr. Kabir is a regular participant in TV talk shows on banking, capital market, fiscal matters and issues relating to trade and investment. He has delivered lectures, presented papers and chaired seminars at home and abroad on topics relating to Economy, Business & Accountancy profession. He has been nominated by the Government to its different Committees for reviewing Companis Act, Taxation Laws, etc and for evaluating proposals for investment/EOI/consultant hiring/ procurement bids.
