Claim Settlement
As a fund, CMSF primarily focuses on resolving claims from shareholders who possess unclaimed stocks and dividends in various listed companies. The pivotal responsibility of the "Legal Affairs Department" involves meticulously examining and validating the legal documents provided by claimants. This includes thorough scrutiny and verification of the power of attorney, certificate of inheritance, personal details, court orders, and other documents submitted by claimants or their legal heirs.
Contract Management:
Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, agreements, and legal documents. Collaborate with different departments to ensure contractual compliance and mitigate risks.
Risk Management:
Identify and evaluate legal risks related to the activities of CMSF. The legal team is a Risk Management Committee (RMC) committee member. The legal team conducts regular RMC meetings to identify, minimize, and mitigate risks associated with CMSF. The legal affairs team is actively formulating risk mitigation strategies and offers proactive legal counsel to the management team.
Policy Development:
Work collaboratively with other departments to develop and update internal policies and guidelines.
Ensure that policies align with legal requirements and industry best practices.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution:
Manage and oversee any legal disputes involving CMSF. Work closely with external legal counsel when necessary and represent CMSF's interests in legal proceedings.
Regulatory Affairs:
Interface with regulatory bodies and authorities to address legal matters and maintain positive relationships. Keep the organization informed about regulatory changes that may impact CMSF.
Training and Awareness:
Conduct legal training sessions for employees to enhance legal awareness and compliance. Foster a culture of legal consciousness within the organization.
